Your baby is 1!. Congratulations.
This session is filled with fun (and mess), cake everywhere and then a splash time to clean all the cake off them in a bubble bath.
The perfect way to celebrate your baby's first birthday and capture their unique personality.
As a part of the session, I aim to capture a lovely photo of the parent(s) and baby (usually before we get down to the smashing business) and some lovely photos of your baby on their own. To get an amazing portrait. All parts of the session are dependant on your baby’s participation and their mood on the day, and nothing is guaranteed, but I do my best to make sure we capture some lovely memories for you to cherish forever.

FAQ
What stage do I book?
Cake smash sessions are usually done for your baby’s first birthday to celebrate their very first year in this world. But why not do one for your babies 2nd birthdays, 3rd birthdays, or even your 30th birthdays! It’s a great way to mark another milestone in your child’s life.
If you want images to display at their birthday party or for the day of their birthday, I suggest booking your session for a month in advance so you’re guaranteed your images on time. If you are looking for a specific theme of colour then please let me know in advance so I can prepare the set up for you as they are personalised.
HOW LONG & WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM THE SESSION?
Your chosen theme will be set up and ready for when you get here. There is no need to rush into the session straight away, I prefer your little one to get used to me and their surroundings. Once baby is happy, we can start the real fun! The session will start with taking portraits of your baby before the cake smashing, nice and clean. Then the smashing begins! Please don’t worry if your baby is not interested in getting messy, a lot of babies prefer not to get too covered in cake but I can still guarantee you some very beautiful and very cute images. After the messy fun, we move onto the splashing fun. Most babies thoroughly enjoy this part! There will be a small tub filled with warm water and bubbles, your baby will be placed into the tub to enjoy 5 minutes of a good splash and get clean. Once clean, I will change the background to another of your choice for a cute towel photo or a photo of your baby in a new outfit. A family photo is hugely welcome if you would like one. Great chance to update your family portrait.
This session tends to last 60-90 minutes.
WHAT DO I NEED TO PROVIDE?
With our cake smash sessions we provide everything you need; Decorations, Outfit, Cake (can be added on as extra), and props. As you can have a child & family portrait included, you will need to provide at least 1 outfit for each family member.
